November 2 (SeeNews) - The number of foreign tourists who visited Montenegro in the first nine months of 2022 rose 58% year-on-year to 872,400, the statistical office said on Wednesday.
Serbia was Montenegro's biggest feeder market in the nine months through September, with 164,100 tourists, up 22% on the year. Citizens of Germany followed, with a total of 72,100 visits, up 197%. Visitors from Bosnia and Herzegovina - up 23% to 55,300 - came third.
Visitors from Serbia stayed five days on average, whilst visitors from Bosnia and Poland spent 4.7 days in Montenegro and visitors from the UK stayed for 4.3 days.
