October 31 (SeeNews) - The number of foreign tourists who visited Montenegro in September rose 15.3% on the year to 134,184, the country's statistical said.
The total number of tourists who stayed in the country in September increased by an annual 13.2% to 146,829, data from the country's statistical office showed.
Tourist overnights in September totalled 613,118, up 10% year-on-year.
Visitors from Russia accounted for 9.4% of all overnights in September, followed by tourists from Serbia with a 9.1% share, France and Germany with 7.8% each, the United Kingdom with 6.8%, Israel with 5.7% and Poland with 5.3%.
Seaside resorts accounted for 90.3% of all overnight stays, followed by the country's capital with 4.7%, mountain resorts with 2.7% and other tourist resorts with 2.3%.
