PRISTINA (Kosovo), September 5 (SeeNews) – The number of foreign tourists who visited Kosovo in the second quarter of 2018 rose 6.1% year-on-year to 43,604, the country's statistical office said on Wednesday.
The number of overnights spent by foreign tourists in Kosovo's hotels increased to 71,086 in April-June from 65,308 a year earlier, the statistical office said in a statement.
Most of the foreign visitors to Kosovo came from Albania, Turkey, and Switzerland. The capital Pristina and the city of Prizren were the most preferred destinations.

Kosovo's statistical office said that in the second quarter of 2018 only 11.3% of the country's hotel capacity was used.
According to Kosovo's statistics, tourists are those who stay at least one night in a hotel in the country, whereas most other statistical offices in southeast Europe count the number of persons crossing the borders.
