PRISTINA (Kosovo), December 5 (SeeNews) – The number of foreign tourists who visited Kosovo in the third quarter of 2018 rose 25% year-on-year to 67,359, the country's statistical office said on Wednesday.
The number of overnights spent by foreign tourists in Kosovo's hotels increased to 119,275 in July-September from 96,684 a year earlier, the statistical office said in a statement.
Most of the foreign visitors to Kosovo came from Albania, Germany, and the U.S. The capital Pristina and the city of Peja were the most preferred destinations.

Kosovo's statistical office said that in the third quarter of 2018 only 16.2% of the country's hotel capacity was used.
According to Kosovo's statistical office, tourists are those who stay at least one night in a hotel in the country, whereas most other statistical offices in southeast Europe count the number of persons crossing the borders.
