January 5 (SeeNews) - Foreign tourist arrivals to Croatia totalled 184,196 in November, an increase of 70.9% compared to the same month of last year, the statistical office said on Thursday.
The number of overnights spent by foreign tourist in Croatia rose by 56% on the year, to 526,434 in November, the statistical office said in a monthly report.
Local tourist arrivals rose 24.1% on the year to almost 140,000 in November, and the number of overnights by local tourists increased 15% to some 275,000.
Foreign tourist arrivals to to the Adriatic country totalled 10.6 million in 2021, an annual increase of 91.9%, following a drop of 68% in 2020 due to the coronavirus crisis.
Tourism is a key industry for the Croatian economy, contributing a fifth of the country's GDP.
