March 17 (SeeNews) - Foreign tourist arrivals to Croatia rose 2.2% on the year in January, reaching 122,538, the country's statistical office said on Tuesday.
The number of overnights spent by foreign tourists in Croatia grew 8.5% year-on-year to 321,170 nin January, the statistical office said in a statement.
In January, the number of domestic tourists increased by an annual 10.7% to 97,195, while the overnights they spent rose by 7.3% to 223,590.
Overall, the number of domestic and foreign tourists in Croatia went up 5.8% year-on-year to 219,733 in January.
Tourists from Slovenia accounted for 13.8% of all overnights spent by international visitors in January, followed by tourists from Italy (10.6%), Austria (9.9%) and Bosnia (9.2%).
Foreign tourist arrivals to Croatia rose 4.3% to 17.4 million in 2019.
