January 10 (SeeNews) - Foreign tourist arrivals to Croatia reached 107,767 in November, an increase of 235% compared to November 2020 but still less than half of the numbers registered in the pre-pandemic November 2019, the statistical office said on Monday.
The number of overnights spent by foreign tourist in Croatia in November rose by 131% on the year, reaching 337,396, the statistical office said in a statement.
They, however, were just 62% of the pre-pandemic November 2019 numbers, it added.
The number of domestic tourists rose 105% on the year to 112,805 in November, while number of overnights by domestic tourists increased 95% on the year to 238,674.
In 2020, foreign tourist arrivals to the Adriatic country dropped 68% to 5.55 million due to the coronavirus crisis.
Tourism is a key industry for the Croatian economy, contributing a fifth of the country's GDP.
