October 14 (SeeNews) - Foreign tourist arrivals to Croatia rose 6.9% on the year to 4.365 million in August, the country's statistical office said on Monday.
The number of overnights spent by foreign tourists in Croatia grew 1.9% on the year in August, to 25.904 million, the statistical office said in a statement.
In August 2019, the number of Croatian tourists increased by 22.2% year-on-year to 346,667, while the overnights they spent rose 15.3% to 1.866 million.
Overall, the number of domestic and foreign tourists in the Adriatic country rose 7.8% to 4.712 million on the year in August.
Tourists from Germany accounted for 23.7% of all overnights spent by international visitors in August, followed by tourists from Italy with 10.6%, Slovenia (8.4%) and Poland (8.0%).
