August 12 (SeeNews) - Foreign tourist arrivals to Croatia plunged by an annual 76% in June to just 641,516, as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, the country's statistical office said on Wednesday.
The number of overnights spent by foreign tourists in Croatia fell to 3.13 million June, down by 74.3% year-on-year, the statistical office said in a statement.
Domestic tourists numbered 156,180 in June, down 37%, as they spent 456,937 overnights, down 43.7%.
Tourists from Germany accounted for 35.9% of all overnights spent by international visitors in June, followed by tourists from Slovenia with a 22.8% share.
In the first half of 2020, foreign tourist arrivals to Croatia plunged 76% to 1.03 million.
