July 11 (SeeNews) - Foreign tourist arrivals to Croatia decreased 6.2% on the year to 1.353 million in May, the country's statistical office said on Thursday.
The number of overnights spent by foreign tourists in Croatia fell 16.7% on the year in May, reaching 4.430 million, the statistical office said in a statement.
In May 2019, the number of Croatian tourists increased by 7.9% year-on-year to 215,281, while the overnights they spent rose 10.1% to 485,808.
Overall, the number of domestic and foreign tourists in the Adriatic state fell to 1.569 million in May, down 4.5% on same month of 2018.
Tourists from Germany accounted for 19.7% of all overnights spent by international visitors in May, followed by Austria with 10.6%, Slovenia (9.7%) and the United Kingdom (7.9%).
