November 28 (SeeNews) - The number of foreign visitors to Bulgaria rose by an annual 5% in October, reaching 712,600, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said on Tuesday.
Citizens of EU member states made up 56.1% of all arrivals of international visitors in October, the NSI said in a monthly report on tourist numbers.
Vacation trips accounted for 35.2% of all foreign tourist visits in October, while business trips made up 19.2%.
The number of foreign nationals who visited friends or relatives or just transited the country accounted for 45.6% of all arrivals in October.
