May 29 (SeeNews) - The number of foreign tourists who visited Bulgaria in April rose 13.5% year-on-year, reaching 633,700, data from the National Statistical Institute (NSI) showed on Monday.
Citizens of EU member states made up 57% of all arrivals of international visitors in April, the data indicated.
The number of tourists who visited friends or relatives or just transited the country accounted for 39% of all foreign tourist arrivals in April.
Vacation trips in April accounted for 40% of all visits by foreign tourists, while business trips made up 21.1% of the total number in April.
