February 27 (SeeNews) - The number of foreign tourist arrivals to Bosnia's Serb Republic increased by 27% on the year in January, reaching 15,041, the entity's statistical office said on Thursday.
Foreign tourists spent 51,198 overnights in the Serb Republic in January, up 28%, the statistical office said in a statement.
In January, the total number of tourists who visited the Serb Republic increased by 15% to 25,272. Total tourist overnights rose 16% on the year to 77,163.
Most foreign tourists who visited the Serb Republic in January - 4,654, came from neighbouring Serbia, followed by tourists from Croatia, 4,131, and Slovenia - 1,524.
The Serb Republic is one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Federation.
