June 27 (SeeNews) - The number of foreign tourists who visited Bosnia's Serb Republic in May grew by 5.2% year-on-year, reaching 20,735, the entity's statistical office said on Thursday.
Foreign tourists spent 42,603 overnights in the Serb Republic in May, up 14.1%, the entity's Institute of Statistics said in a monthly report.
In May, the total number of tourists visiting the Serb Republic, fell 4.2% to 36,808. Total tourist overnights increased by 1.4% on the year to 87,067.
Most foreign tourists visiting the Serb Republic in May came from neighbouring Serbia (6,800), followed by tourists from Slovenia (2,654) and Croatia (1,766).
The Serb Republic is one of the two autonomous entities forming Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Federation.
