November 29 (SeeNews) - The number of foreign tourists who visited Bosnia's Serb Republic in October soared by 26.8% year-on-year, reaching 21,442, the entity's statistical office said.
Foreign tourists spent 52,739 overnights in the Serb Republic in October, up 24.5%, the statistical office said in a statement earlier this week.
In October, the total number of tourists who visited the Serb Republic increased by 17.4% to 38,727. Total tourist overnights rose 18.2% on the year to 96,903.
Most foreign tourists who visited the Serb Republic in October - 5,496, came from neighbouring Serbia, followed by tourists from Croatia, 2,748, and Slovenia - 2,228.
In the January-October period, the number of foreign tourists arrivals increased by 8.4%, reaching 192,755.
The Serb Republic is one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Federation.
