June 29 (SeeNews) - The number of foreign tourists who visited Bosnia's Federation in May totalled 63,969, up 244% compared with the same month a year earlier, according to figures released by the entity's statistical office on Wednesday.
Foreign tourists spent 131,872 overnights in the Federation in May, an annual increase of almost 215%, figures published by the Federation's statistical office showed.
The total number of tourists who visited the Federation in May was 95,868, up 143% on the year.
Total tourist overnights increased 145.5% on the year to 193,821 in May 2022.
In May most foreign visitors to the Federation came from Croatia (6,739), followed by tourists from Serbia (5,798) and Turkey (5,664).
The Federation is one of two autonomous entities that make up Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
