March 4 (SeeNews) - The number of foreign tourists who visited Bosnia's Federation in January rose by 24% on the year, reaching 35,516, the entity's statistical office said.
Foreign tourists spent 74,824 overnights in the Federation in January, up 23% year-on-year, the Federation's statistical office said in a statement on Friday.
The total number of tourists who visited the Federation in January rose by 18% on the year to 52,389. Total tourist overnights increased by 19% to 108,086.
Most foreign visitors to the Federation in January, 35%, came from Croatia, followed by tourists from Serbia, 7.2%, and Turkey, 5.2%.
The Federation is one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
