September 30 (SeeNews) - The number of foreign tourists who visited Bosnia's Federation in August rose by 10.9% on the year, reaching 139,989, the entity's statistical office said on Monday.
Foreign tourists spent 310,198 overnights in the Federation in August, up 5.2% year-on-year, the entity's statistical office said in a statement.
In August, the total number of tourists who visited the Federation rose by 11.7% to 163,429. Total tourist overnights increased by 6.3% on the year to 359,174.
Most foreign tourists visiting the Federation in August came from Saudi Arabia (12.5%), followed by tourists from the United Arab Emirates (7.3%) and Italy (5.8%).
The Federation is one of the two autonomous entities forming Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
