December 29 (SeeNews) - The number of foreign tourists who visited Bosnia's Federation in November totalled 25,035, up 251% compared with the same month a year earlier, when the pandemic hit tourism hard, according to figures released by the entity's statistical office on Wednesday.
Foreign tourists spent 57,813 overnights in the Federation in November, an annual increase of 247%, the Federation's statistical office said in a statement.
The total number of tourists who visited the Federation in November was 44,681, up 148% on the year.
Total tourist overnights increased 154% on the year to 93,842.
Most foreign visitors to the Federation in November, 16%, came from Croatia, followed by tourists from Serbia, 11.5%, the United Arab Emirates,8.1%, Turkey, 8.0%, and Saudi Arabia, 7.2%.
The Federation is one of two autonomous entities that make up Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
