March 10 (SeeNews) - The number of foreign tourists who visited Bosnia in January grew by 24.3% on the year, reaching 50,852, the country's statistical office said on Tuesday.
Foreign tourists spent 126,406 overnights in Bosnia in January, up 24.6% year-on-year, the statistical office said in a statement.
The total number of tourist visits grew by an annual 16.3% but dropped by a monthly 18.7% to 78,256 in January. Total tourist overnights grew 17.6% on the year and fell 3.6% month-on-month to 186,047.
Visitors from Croatia accounted for 37.6% of all foreign tourist overnights spent in Bosnia in January, followed by visitors from Serbia (15.4%) and Slovenia (6.1%).
The number of foreign tourists who visited Bosnia in 2019 rose by 13.8% year-on-year, reaching 1,198,059.
