October 4 (SeeNews) - The number of foreign tourists who visited Bosnia and Herzegovina in August totalled 95,093, compared with just 19,956 in the same month a year earlier, according to figures released by the entity's statistical office on Monday.
Foreign tourists spent 236,873 overnights in the country in August, compared with 52,246 in August 2020, the Federation's statistical office said in a monthly statement.
The total number of tourists who visited the country in August was 149,963, up from 72,718 in the same period the year before. Total tourist overnights increased to 378,630 from 210,294.
Most foreign visitors to Bosnia and Herzegovina in August came from the United Arab Emirates, 9,105, followed by tourists from Saudi Arabia, Serbia, and Croatia.
