October 10 (SeeNews) - The number of foreign tourists who visited Bosnia in the first eight months of 2018 grew 14.5% on the year, reaching 728,908, according to official data from the country's statistical office.
The total number of tourists staying in the country in the January-August period increased by 12.8% year-on-year to 997,308, data posted on the website of Bosnia's Agency for Statistics showed.
Total tourist overnights increased to 2,122,675 through August, up 14.7% year-on-year. Of them, foreign tourist overnights accounted for 72.1%, or 1,531,316 - up 13.8% on the year.
Visitors from Croatia accounted for 11.1% of all foreign tourist overnights in the first eight months, followed by visitors from Serbia with 8.1% and Turkey with 6.9%.
