December 27 (SeeNews) - The number of foreign tourists who visited Bosnia in the first ten months of 2016 grew 14.1% on the year to 702,609, according to official data.
The total number of tourists staying in the country in 2016 through October increased by 11.4% year on year to 1 million, Bosnia's Agency for Statistics said in a statement.
Total tourist overnights in January-October increased to 2.1 million, up 10.5% year-on-year. Out of them, foreign tourist overnights accounted for 70.5%, or 1.5 million, up 14.7% on the year.
Visitors from Croatia accounted for 10.6% of foreign overnights in the first ten months, followed by visitors from Turkey with a 8.4% share, and from Serbia with 8.0%.
