September 10 (SeeNews) - The number of foreign tourists who visited Bosnia in the first seven months of 2018 grew 14% on the year, reaching 578,042, according to official data from the country's statistical office.
The total number of tourists staying in the country in the January-July period increased by 12% year-on-year to 811,660, data posted on the website of Bosnia's Agency for Statistics showed.
Total tourist overnights increased to 1,690,663 through July, up 14% year-on-year. Of them, foreign tourist overnights accounted for 70%, or 1,188,616 - up 13% on the year.
Visitors from Croatia accounted for 13% of all foreign tourist overnights in the first seven months, followed by visitors from Serbia with 9.0% and Turkey with 7.4%.
