October 7 (SeeNews) - The number of foreign tourists who visited Bosnia in August grew by 10% on the year, reaching 166,058, the country's statistical office said on Monday.
Foreign tourists spent 357,357 overnights in Bosnia in August, up 4.3% year-on-year, the office said in a statement.
The total number of tourist visits grew by an annual 10.6% and by a monthly 6.3% to 205,238 in August. Total tourist overnights grew 5.3% on the year and rose by 7.5% month-on-month to 454,730.
Visitors from Saudi Arabia accounted for 12.1% of all foreign tourist overnights spent in Bosnia in August, followed by visitors from the United Arab Emirates (9%) and Italy (6.3%).
The number of foreign tourists who visited Bosnia in January-August grew by 13.4% on the year to 826,830.
