BELGRADE (Serbia), March 30 (SeeNews) – The number of foreign tourists who visited Serbia in February grew 18.1% on the year to 77,627, statistical office data showed on Friday.
The number of overnights spent by foreign tourists in Serbia rose by 17.8% year-on-year, to 185,811 in February, according to data posted on the website of Serbia's statistical office.
In the first two months of 2018, the total number of foreign tourist arrivals rose 17.0% year-on-year to 159,069, while the total number of overnights spent by foreign tourists added 18% to 403,253.
Bosnia and Herzegovina was Serbia's biggest feeder market in February, with 5,601 tourists, down 0.5% on the year. Bulgarian citizens followed, up 24.8% to 5,520. Visitors from Croatia came third, up 6.4% to 5,178.
The number of domestic tourists increased 10.1% on the year to 108,933 in February, taking the total number of tourists to 186,560, up 13.3%.
