TIRANA (Albania), June 17 (SeeNews) – The flow of foreign remittances to Albania increased by 10.6% year-on-year to 168.5 million euro ($201.3 million) in the first quarter of 2021, according to central bank data.
Money sent home by Albanian citizens living abroad in the January-March period fell by 16.9% compared with the last quarter of 2020, Bank of Albania said in a current account report last week.
The flow of foreign remittances to Albania decreased to 673.4 million euro in 2020, compared to 701.9 million euro in 2019.
