December 8 (SeeNews) - A total of 80 foreign cruise ships made 598 journeys to Croatian seaports in the first 10 months of this year, rebounding from the same period of last year when only 33 cruises visited the Adriatic country on 184 journeys due to COVID-19-related restrictions, the country's statistical office said.
There were some 595,933 passengers on board the cruise ships that visited Croatia in January-October 2022, up from some 178,959 in the same period of last year, the statistical office said in a monthly report on Wednesday.
Compared to the same period of 2019, the number of journeys of foreign cruise vessels was lower by 11% in January- October 2022, and the number of passengers on board on those vessels was down 43.6%.
In the first 10 months of this year, foreign cruise ships on journeys to Croatia visited the port of Dubrovnik 393 times, Split followed with 249 visits, Zadar with 135 ones and Hvar with 94 visits.
