September 8 (SeeNews) - A total of 66 foreign cruise ships made 329 journeys to Croatian seaports in the first seven months of this year, rebounding from the same period of last year when only 11 cruises visited the Adriatic country on 49 journeys due to COVID-19-related restrictions, the country's statistical office said on Thursday.
There were some 294,000 passengers on board the cruise ships that visited Croatia in January-July 2022, up from some 35,000 in the same period of last year, the statistical office said in a monthly report.
Compared to the same period of 2019, the number of journeys of foreign cruise vessels was lower by 10.6% in January-July 2022, and the number of passengers on board on those vessels was down 48%.
In the first seven months of this year, foreign cruise ships on journeys to Croatia visited the port of Dubrovnik 213 times, Split followed with 144 visits, Zadar with 73 ones and Hvar and Korcula with 45 visits each.
