PODGORICA (Montenegro), February 16 (SeeNews) – Low-cost airline Flydubai said on Thursday it will add a destination to Montenegro's Tivat in Summer 2017 starting in June.
Flydubai will operate two flights a week between Dubai and Tivat from June 23 to September 25, 2017, on Mondays and Fridays, the company said in a statement.
The airline will also launch Summer 2017 routes to Azerbaijan's Qabala and Georgia's Batumi in June, it added.
“We would like to thank the authorities in Azerbaijan, Georgia and Montenegro for making it easier for the residents of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states to visit these countries by facilitating their visa requirements,” the CEO of Flydubai, Ghaith Al Ghaith, said in the statement.
In January, Flydubai said it was considering starting flights to Montenegro in the first half of the year but had not decided whether it would fly to Tivat or Podgorica.
The company already operated a charter flight to Tivat in October, carrying a business delegation from the UAE, representatives of tour operators, journalists and airline officials.
Elsewhere in Southeastern Europe, Flydubai operates flights to Belgrade, Sarajevo, Skopje, Sofia and Bucharest.
