September 24 (SeeNews) - UAE-based air carrier Flydubai resumed on Thirsday twice a week flights to the Croatian capital Zagreb, it said.
“Flydubai will increase the frequency of its operations to four weekly flights from December this year. Emirates will codeshare on these routes offering travellers more seamless connections through Dubai’s international aviation hub,” it said in a statement on Thursday.
A Boeing 737 MAX aircraft is scheduled to operate the route.
Flydubai, legally Dubai Aviation Corporation, is a government-owned budget airline in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, which flies to over 95 destinations in the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Europe.
According to earlier media reports, Emirates launched the Dubai-Zagreb route in 2017. Starting in the winter of 2018/2019, Emirates handed over the route to Flydubai between November and March. This was set to be a permanent partnership, and it lasted for two years before to the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemics. Emirates did not return to Zagreb after the summer of 2019.
