April 25 (SeeNews) - Five bidders are competing in a 58.8 million levs ($33.4 million/30.1 million euro) tender for reconstruction and upgrade of a wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) in Bulgarian city of Plovdiv, the local government said.
The candidates are four consortiums comprising several Bulgarian construction companies and Spain-based Marco Obra Group. Bulgarian construction company Building Development Holding is running on its own.
The WWTP tender was opened in March 2018 but the selection process was delayed several times after Bulgaria's competition authority requested the candidates to provide additional information or correct existing data.
All works on the project should be completed within 730 days after its start.
The project will benefit from EU financing under operational programme Environment 2014-2020.
