SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), May 14 (SeeNews) – The first chargers for electric vehicles in Bosnia and Herzegovina were installed in the city of Banja Luka on Monday, the local government said.
Two charging stations, with three chargers each, were installed at two locations in the city by the city authorities in partnership with local firm Malbasic, the Banja Luka government said in a statement.
"These terminals will be used by local drivers, but also those in transit, since both terminals are located in places of easy access to those passing through Banja Luka on their way to the sea or to Sarajevo", the mayor of Banja Luka, Igor Radojicic, said in the statement.
The city of Banja Luka invested 40,000 marka ($24,500/20,500 euro) in the infrastructure and permits necessary for the chargers, while Malbasic procured the chargers from local company Elas.
Banja Luka is located in the Serb Republic, one of the two entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other is the Federation.
