November 20 (SeeNews) - Fintel Energija [BEL:FINT], the Serbian subsidiary of Italy's Fintel Energia Group, started trading on Tuesday on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, the company said.
The shares of Fintel Energija started trading on the stock market at an indicative price of 500 dinars ($4.8/4.2 euro) apiece after the successful completion of the first initial public offering (IPO) on the Belgrade Stock Exchange since 1940, the company said in an e-mailed statement.

The company raised 755.3 million dinars through the IPO, in which investors subscribed for 1,510,506 Fintel Energija shares without a nominal value at an issue price of 500 dinars apiece, Fintel Energija said last month. After the transaction, the share capital of Fintel Energija amounts to 4.056 million dinars. The company has divided its share capital into 26,510,506 new shares with an accounting value of 0.153 dinars apiece.
"Fintel Energija is the pioneer in the wind energy industry in Serbia and the first company ever, which has financed, built and put into operation systems for the production of electricity from the wind. The trust of investors obliges us to continue our investment plans and realise the announced projects," the company CEO, Tiziano Giovanetti, said.
Shares of Fintel Energija are included in the Prime Listing segment of the Belgrade Stock Exchange.
"We believe that this is just the beginning of the launch of a large number of Serbian companies on the Stock Exchange and the use of the Serbian capital market in support of the domestic economy," the executive director of the Belgrade bourse, Sinisa Krneta, said.
Fintel Energia Group is implementing wind energy projects in Serbia through MK Fintel Wind, a joint venture with Serbian vertically integrated conglomerate MK Group.
MK Fintel Wind was set up in 2008 and already operates two wind farm in Serbia, with a combined installed capacity of 16.5 MW.
