September 17 (SeeNews) - Croatian companies Fima Plus and Neoinfo have launched the first cryptocurrency POS cash register in the Adriatic country, Adeo POS, Fima Plus said on Tuesday.
The payment procedure is very simple and includes a scan of the QR code with the digital wallet on a mobile phone, after which the funds are being transferred from the digital wallet of the buyer to the seller's company account with an automatic conversion into the local kuna currency, Fima Plus said in a statement.
Soon after becoming the first register in Croatia to support payment via the Settle mobile application, Adeo POS has started offering cryptocurrency payment, the head of Zagreb-based software firm Neoinfo, Igor Vukmirovic, was quoted as saying in the statement.
At present, Adeo POS accepts cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin, ethereum, litecoin and bitcoin cash, Fima Plus said.
Fima Plus specialises in providing cryptocurrency services. Its Fima Pay system processes cryptotransactions and provides currency exchange services.
