January 11 (SeeNews) - Serbian prime minister Aleksandar Vucic said on Monday that a certain number of Fiat-branded cars manufactured in the company's factory in Kragujevac may soon be shipped to Kazakhstan.
Vucic said, as quoted in a government statement, that Serbia and Kazakhstan are expected to sign in the second half of January an export agreement which would allow for the export of cars produced in the Kragujevac factory.

Vucic also said that Serbia is exploring the possibility of producing automotive parts for the Russian market, especially in sectors covered previously by Turkish firms.
In Serbia, Fiat operates through Fiat-Chrysler Automobili Srbija (FCA), a joint venture between the Italian car maker and the Serbian state. Fiat owns 67% of FCA while Serbia controls the remainder.
The Kragujevac-based car maker was Serbia's biggest exporter in 2013 with 1.53 billion euro ($1.7 billion) in export revenues.
