August 12 (SeeNews) - Foreign direct investment (FDI) into Romania rose to 4.379 billion euro ($4.513 billion) in January-June, from 3.605 billion euro in the same period of 2021, the central bank said on Friday.
Equity investment (including estimated net reinvestment of earnings) amounted to 3.115 billion euro and inter-company lending totalled a net negative value of 1.264 billion euro at the end of June, the central bank said in a statement citing provisional data.
Foreign direct investment (FDI) into Romania soared to 7.251 billion euro in 2021 from 3 billion euro in the previous year.
