BUCHAREST (Romania), February 13 (SeeNews) - Foreign direct investment (FDI) into Romania increased by 1.5% on the year to an estimated 4.586 billion euro ($5.659 billion) in 2017, the country's central bank, BNR, said on Tuesday.
Revised BNR figures show that FDI had reached 4.517 billion euro in 2016.
In 2017, equity investment amounted to 3.822 billion euro and inter-company lending totalled a net 764 million euro, the BNR said in a statement citing provisional data.
