May 16 (SeeNews) - Foreign direct investment (FDI) into Romania amounted to 2.587 billion euro ($2.811 billion) in the first three months of 2023, down from 2.887 billion euro in the same period of 2022, the central bank said.
Net equity investment, including the estimated net reinvestment of earnings, totalled 2.945 billion euro in the three months through March, while net intercompany lending amounted to a negative 358 million euro, the central bank said on Monday in a balance of payments report, citing provisional data.
In 2022, FDI into Romania rose to 10.698 billion euro from 8.94 billion euro in 2021.
