November 30 (SeeNews) - Foreign direct investment (FDI) into North Macedonia totalled 528.3 million euro ($548.5 million) in the nine months through September, compared to a net inflow of 290.6 million euro in the like period of 2021, central bank data showed on Wednesday.
In the third quarter alone, FDI inflow into North Macedonia amounted to 213.8 million euro, as compared to an FDI inflow of 41.3 million euro in the same period a year earlier, according to the central bank data.
In the third quarter of 2022, FDI inflow rose mainly as a result of increased net-inflows from reinvestment of earnings and equity and to a lesser extent due to intercompany lending, the central bank said.
In 2021, FDI into Macedonia totalled 512 million euro, up from 239.8 million euro in 2020.
