September 1 (SeeNews) - Foreign direct investment (FDI) into North Macedonia totalled 244.3 million euro ($288.2 million) in the first half of 2021, compared to a net inflow of 139.6 million euro in the like period of 2020, central bank data showed.

In the first six months of 2021, FDI inflow increased mainly as a result of registered net-inflows from reinvestment of earnings and equity and to a lesser extent due to intercompany lending, the central bank said.
In 2020, FDI into Macedonia totalled 239.8, down from 398.76 million euro in 2019.
