May 31 (SeeNews) - Foreign direct investment (FDI) into North Macedonia totalled 126.5 million euro ($135 million) in the first quarter of 2023, compared to a net inflow of 136.95 million euro in the like period of 2022, central bank data showed on Wednesday.
Reinvestment of earnings made up the bulk of total direct investments into the country, as the net inflow of this component totalled 107.2 million euro in the first quarter of the year, according to central bank data.
In March alone, FDI into North Macedonia amounted to 57.58 million euro, as compared to an FDI inflow of 63.62 million euro in March 2022.
In 2022, FDI into North Macedonia totalled 753.8 million euro, up from 512 million euro in 2021.
