March 12 (SeeNews) - The exports of FCA Srbija, a joint venture of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) Group and the Serbian government, fell by 20.7% on the year in the first quarter of 2018, to 225.7 million euro ($278.9 million), according to finance ministry data.
Despite the decline, FCA Srbija was Serbia's biggest exporter in January-March 2018, followed by HBIS Group Serbia, the Serbian unit of Chinese steelmaker HBIS, which exported goods worth 201 million euro, up 67% year-on-year, figures show.

Rubber and chemical products manufacturer Tigar [BEL:TIGR] was Serbia's third biggest exporter in the period under review, with sales abroad up 12.9% to 103.8 million euro.
The total exports of Serbia's 15 biggest exporters rose to 1.1 billion euro in the first three months of 2018 from 1 billion euro in the like period of the previous year.
Serbia's trade deficit increased by 46.9% on the year to $918.7 million in the first two months of 2018, the country's statistical office said in March. The country's exports rose 31% on the year to $2.906 billion, while imports grew by 34.5% to $3.824 billion.
