SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), October 9 (SeeNews) – German low-cost air carrier Eurowings is considering launching flights to Bosnia's Mostar, Montenegro's Podgorica and Croatia's Brac.
These three popular tourist spots are among a larger group of 10 European destinations the airline is mulling launching flights to. In order to make a decision, Eurowings has invited the public to vote for their favourite under a campaign termed "You vote, we fly", it said in a statement last week.
Following this round of voting, three destinations will be chosen to face of in a live voting battle feature on Facebook.
According to Eurowings website, Bosnia's Mostar is the most likely winner with 30.8% of votes, while Brac has attracted 4.1% and Podgorica a slim 2.3%.
In July, Eurowings suspended the sale of tickets for flights between Bosnia's Sarajevo and Germany's Dusseldorf, which were scheduled to begin on November 2. It will, however, continue to operate between Sarajevo and Cologne and Stuttgart.
Eurowings, headquartered in Dusseldorf, is a fully owned subsidiary of the Lufthansa Group.
