September 24 (SeeNews) - The European Commission said it revised the quotas for four EU-member states in Southeastern Europe (SEE) to 7,751 from previously announced 11,360, due to postponing a decision for the relocation of 54,000 refugees in Hungary.
According to the new relocation plan, Bulgaria will receive 1,424 quotas instead of initially planned 2,172, the Commission said in a press release on Tuesday.
Croatia will get 1,315 refugees from both Greece and Italy, Romania - 4,180 and Slovenia will accommodate 832, it added.
The numbers will be further amended as the participation of Norway and Switzerland will be taken into account, the commission said.
Beneficiary member states of relocation will get 6,000 euro ($6,670) per relocated person, including a 50% pre-financing rate to ensure that national authorities have means to act very swiftly.
Countries benefiting from the relocation will receive an additional 500 euro for each person relocated to cover transport costs to the Member States of Relocation, the Commission noted.
