January 6 (SeeNews) - The EU has granted a total of 2.9 million euro ($3.1 million) to 124 micro and small enterprises in Serbia to buy new equipment and introduce services, the European integration ministry said.
The aim of the scheme is to improve production and market potential as well as increasing employment, the ministry said in a press release last week.
The grantees were selected through public call organised by the EU Pro Plus programme.
The EU support scheme is aimed at micro and small enterprises up to five years old, which are in the second investment cycle.
