October 18 (SeeNews) - Banca Comerciala Romana (BCR), part of Austria's Erste Group, will list 500 million lei ($117 million/101 million euro) worth of green bonds on the main market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, the bourse said on Monday.
The bonds will start trading on October 19 under the stock exchange symbol BCR28A, the bourse said in a press release.
BCR's senior preferential bonds have a maturity of 7 years, an annual interest rate of 5% and a nominal value of 500,000 lei. The bonds were bought by pension funds, asset management firms, insurance companies and credit institutions, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and International Finance Corporation (IFC).
The listing of BCR's first green bonds comes in less than half a year from the admission to trading of the previous bond issue, from May 31, worth 1 billion lei. Thus, BCR will have available for trading three bond issues with a combined value of 2.1 billion lei as of October 19.
