ZAGREB (Croatia), July 3 (SeeNews) – Croatia's Ericsson Nikola Tesla [ZSE:ERNT] has signed a 37 million kuna ($5.6 million/5 million euro) contract with the interior ministry for providing thermal imaging cameras for border surveillance in line with Schengen standards, the company said on Wednesday.
The project includes procurement of thermal imaging cameras on trailers with field vehicles, as well as fitting the border with mobile thermal imaging systems having highly sophisticated video equipment connected to the central and local border surveillance coordination centers, the telecommunications equipment manufacturer said in a statement.
Ericsson Nikola Tesla will participate in the project as leader of a consortium that also comprises Securitas Hrvatska and Hidraulika Promet.
The project is scheduled for completion by the fourth quarter of 2019.
In October 2018, Ericsson Nikola Tesla signed a 28 million kuna agreement to set up a stationary system for the control of Croatia's borders with Bosnia and Montenegro.
