June 7 (SeeNews) - E.ON Software Development (ESD), part of German energy group E.ON, said on Friday that it plans to increase to 400 from 100 the number of employees at its development and innovation centre in Romania's Iasi in the next two years.
In order to support its medium and long-term plans, as of this month, the company relocated its offices to a building in the center of Iasi, it said in a press release.
Iasi is one of the university cities in Romania with the fastest developments in the IT services segment.
E.ON Software Development was set up in 2017 in order to develop strategic projects at the E.ON Group and to support various projects, solutions and ideas in the digital area to optimize the activities of companies and reduce costs. It currently provides software development and IT solutions for 230 companies in 13 countries.
The German group E.ON has been present in Romania for 14 years through Delgaz Grid and E.ON Energie Romania, which carry out distribution and supply activities for about 3.1 million customers.
