March 24 (SeeNews) - Civil engineering company Energoprojekt [BEL:ENHL] led the blue-chip gainers' list on the Belgrade bourse on Friday, as share indices ended up, stock exchange data showed.
Energoprojekt won 3.26% on Friday and closed at 1,456 dinars. The company was also the most traded on the Belgrade stock market on Friday, as a total of 4,269 of its shares changed hands in 23 transactions, generating a stock turnover of 6.2 million dinars, the highest one on the bourse.
The blue-chip BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade bourse, rose 0.78% to 746.12 points on Friday. On Thursday, the index declined 0.75% to 740.31.
The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation weighted index, grew 0.48% and closed Friday's session at 1,623.70. The index fell 0.35% to 1,615.90 on Thursday.
Lender Komercijalna banka [BEL:KMBN] paced the blue-chip decliners in Belgrade on Friday. Its shares fell 0.78% and closed at 1,776 dinars. A total of 80 shares in the company changed hands, generating a trading turnover of 142,070 dinars.
The total stock trading turnover on the bourse rose to 11.5 million dinars ($100,171/92,743 euro) on Friday from 9.0 million dinars on Thursday, as a total of 93 transactions were carried out. Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the bourse came in at 347,550 dinars on Friday.
In the period between March 20 and 24, BELEX15 and BELEXline rose by 0.25% and 0.38%, respectively. Both indexes closed in the red in two sessions in the period, on Wednesday and Thursday, and gained ground in the other three.
Shares in construction company Jedinstvo advanced the most among the blue chips between March 20 and 24. The stock added 4.36% in the period. A total of 112 shares in Jedinstvo changed hands, generating a stock turnover of 461,375 dinars.
Energoprojekt was the most traded stock in the period, as a total of 27,021 shares changed hands in 64 deals, generating a turnover of 39.3 million dinars, the highest one on the bourse this week.
The total value of trading in shares on the Belgrade stock market this week was 87 million dinars, versus 694 million dinars in the previous week. Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 1.47 billion dinars to the week's total trading turnover of 1.56 billion dinars on the bourse.
A total of three transactions of Treasury bonds were carried out this week. Investors traded 5,200 bonds of the euro-denominated RSO16136 issue, bearing a coupon of 2% and mature on September 18, 2018. The dinar-denominated RSO1215 issue, maturing on November 8, 2017, and bearing a coupon of 10%, generated a turnover of 430 million dinars, as 40,000 bonds were traded. A total of 20,000 bonds of the dinar-denominated RSO1215 issue, maturing on March 2, 2018, and bearing a coupon of 10%, were traded this week, generating a 211.7 million dinars turnover.
Last week, the trading in Treasury bonds amounted to 6.9 million dinars out of a total trading turnover of 699.4 million dinars.
